What is the C.H.A.S.™?

The Cap Helmet Adaptation System (C.H.A.S.)™ is designed with adjustable neck, ear, and facial protection integrating a unique patented canopy system. C.H.A.S.™ can be produced in any number of materials and patterns, flame retardant and non-flame-retardant. Patterns include desert, woodland, soils, and universal camouflage.

C.H.A.S.™ is extremely versatile.

It can be worn by itself; over or under patrol cap; or with the Advanced Combat Helmet, with our without mask, opened or closed position. It does not interfere with the wearing of any headgear.

The design provides exceptional versatility and flexibility. It can be "shaped" based upon mission requirements to meet environmental demands and individual body shapes.

The camouflage pattern blends in with the uniform, equipment, and patrol cap, further enhancing prevention of detection and compromise.

When used with the adjustable mask, it provides shelter from wind and sand storms while allowing accessibility / use of communications equipment and drinking tubes. The mask also enhances overall facial protection from the sun and increases detection prevention.

The C.H.A.S.™ is designed provide protection from excessive sun exposure and heat. It "shades" normally exposed portion of the head, neck, and ears with minimal contact to the skin. The C.H.A.S.™ design maximizes air flow around the face and neck equal to an 8 degree temperatures mitigation/cooler feel. It can be moistened for even increased cooling capability and mitigation against potential heat related injuries.
